Uniform Rational B-Spline Curve
A tool to edit non-rational and ratioanal Bezier Curves as Uniform Rational Basis Splines
Uniform Rational B-Spline Curve

B-Spline curves consist of many polynomial pieces, offering more versatility than do Bezier curves. Each curve piece is only affected by degree+1 control points and is called the local control property. Rational B-Spline curves have become the standard curve description in the field of CAD and graphics.

Select an existing nonrational or rational Bezier curve or Uniform Rational B-Spline curve from this tool and use Edit as Rational Uniform B-Spline or Edit Rational Uniform B-Spline respectively in the Right Mouse Button context menu to activate this tool.

The current degree of the selected curve is displayed in the Value Control Box(VCB) while not hovering over a control point. To change the degree, type the new value you want and press Enter or Return.

To change the weight of a non-end control point, hover the cursor over the control point you want to change the weight of so that it is highlighted in green, type the new weight you want for it, without moving the cursor away from the control point, and press Enter or Return.

Other than changing the degree and weights, you can also edit the curve by moving the control points and control lines.

Also, shamelessly plugging a paid extension of mine, you can use the NURBS Curve Manager to modify the curve(s) further if required.
