What is NVIDIA Iray+?

NVIDIA Iray+ is a 3D renderer which uses the power of your GPU (Graphics Processor) to perform the rendering. Iray+ quickly computes light paths and reflections.

Most of the rendering settings are automatic, e.g., indirect illumination, reflections, refractions, soft shadows, blurry reflections, reflective and refractive caustics, etc.

You just assign material properties in SketchUp, click render, and the rest pretty much takes care of itself.

What is GPU Rendering?

Iray+ is designed to make optimal use of GPU hardware which ensures that your rendering is as fast and as powerful as possible. We recommend using NVIDIA GPUs for best performance.

The ability to use your GPU(s) should be a major factor when you select a renderer.  SketchUp itself is very GPU intensive while editing and viewing your model, so many SketchUp users already have a good GPU. Put your GPU to work with Allura GPU renderer! Improve your rendering speed!
