This is a lifesaver, A very intelligent plugin, Just add auto dimension and anyone can become an architect with ease.

Iscarnet's picture

Hi Yax, thanks for your comment! We have the 'Continuous Dimension' tool, very handy indeed.

hello impossible to intall rbz plugin.

philipcolev ..'s picture

Go in Windows>Preferences from the left panel in the window that is opened chose "extensions" and down on the left corner clic on "install Extension" . Search the path of your .rbz file and install...
As a second option If locks complicated , you can change te extention of the file .rbz into .zip, uncompress it and install as a ussual plugin do.(sometimes this dosn't work, cose inside of the orginal .rbz file there are other with extention .rbs )

In older versions of skatch up as 6pro or some of 7 pro, the option "install extensions" does not apear on the left corner, then the only that you can do is update your skatc up version or try to change the .rbz into .zip format!

hi, i have a message error: no such file load -- iscarnet_dibac/dibac_cmd.rbs [in extensions.rb - #require():line 36] thanks

i keep trying to download this thing and it doesnt want to open, how do you open this thing on sketch up

Iscarnet's picture

Hi! To install a RBZ extension please refer to this article: http://help.sketchup.com/en/article/38583

Lars M's picture

This does not help. There is no location like that.
I use a Mac OS X 10.8.4 and Sketchup Pro 2013.

under > Library > Application Support > there is no Sketchup Pro 2013 and following

only under macintosh HD>Programme>is a Sketchup Po 2013 Folder. But i can't create a new plugins Folder

To install a SketchUp Ruby plugin script with the .rbz format:

We recommend logging into your computer as an admin before installing any Ruby scripts. This will make the installation go more smoothly and ensure that files get installed in the proper places.
1. Select Window > Preferences (Microsoft Windows) or SketchUp > Preferences (Mac OS X). The Preferences dialog box is displayed.
2. Click on Extensions. The Extensions panel is displayed.
3. Click on the Install Extension button. The Open dialog box is displayed.
4. Locate the Ruby zip file to install (.rbz).
5. Click on the Open button. The Ruby plugin appears in the list of extensions.

Lars M's picture

Thanks for that, now it was easy.
But what can i say, this is embarrassing for me to steel your time with that "problem". I'm just not a computer expert. sorry

It finally open for me. Sign into your google account. You should see the download in upper right.

I installed the plugin and is certainly very useful.
But does not appear my hand icon to open doors.
How do I install it?

You can draw one 2D form to 3D form, with that,
but not to be an architect, with a boton.

(become an architect with ease ? = Ridiculous ! Sorry).

"yax y" I don't know why I went to the university to become an architect knowing that this plugging exists...

yax y's picture

I know right. I mean it actually lets you design without worrying about the tool itself. I believe in the future as we grow with this plugin its going to be the easiest plugin architects can relate to. I hope in the future its going to have the ability to cost, make skins, have roofs with roof members and have the ability to be NURBy. lol

MCA A.'s picture

I downloaded it into SU 2014 but cant find it?
where should i look?

Watched the video and this is really good tool, thanks guys.

To All,

Being an architectural consultant & using SketchUp Pro-2013 I could see that this "PLUG-IN" tool would be a great one to have. However when I went to the website I got a little confused on costs, it's only 39 euros, not 450E, this was for the CAD add-on.

Sorry about that previous post, I've now edited it for this one & have now purchased it, great news.

Over & out,

Iscarnet's picture

Hi Clayton,

Dibac for SketchUp is only $39 or 29 €. You will be able to buy it through our website very soon.

Maybe you got confused with our independent CAD solution 'Dibac Professional CAD' which is equivalent for example to AutoCad LT but less pricy.

But for now you can use Dibac for SketchUp until June 30 without limitations.

Clayton T.'s picture

Hi Javier,

Yes, your website was a little confusing, perhaps the link from the SketchUP Extension page should just go to a single stand alone page for SketchUP & not other CAD add-on's, just a thought, as you might miss out on many sales.

Anyway this is GREAT news, so I've just purchased the add-on, I'll pop back soon to give my comments by experience.

All the best,

Edson Mahfuz's picture

hi javier,

I just cannot seem to find the way to download the trial version of Dibac. could you please tell us how to do it?

best regards.

Iscarnet's picture

Hi Edson. You can download from the top-right corner of this page. Click on the big red button that says 'Download' (or 'Install' if you are inside SketchUp).

I have used the trial, and even though it says you are extending free use until July 31st, it has disappeared from my sketchup models. I would like to purchase it immediately but haven't figured out how to do so. I am using the plug-in for an actual work project and need ASAP! HELP!

I've tried to re-download but that hasn't helped either.

Iscarnet's picture

Thanks everyone for using 'Dibac for SketchUp'. Any questions you should have about the plugin, please don't hesitate to ask here or contacting us by email: javier(at)iscarnet.com

ISCARNET! can you tell me, how do we purchase the full version. my promotional runs out on jun 30 and then I will want to know the price and where/how to buy.

let me know please,

THANK YOU...(obviously amazing plugin, well done!)

Iscarnet's picture

Hi Christopher,

'Dibac for SketchUp' is just $39 or 29 €. You will be able to buy it through our website very soon. We will announce when it's ready. Until then enjoy it!

I have purchased the product, but now it says the trial has expired. I asked for the license number and received it, but don't have the serial number. This looks to be a great product, but the support is increadibly poor.

yax y's picture

Hi again,
Just cant thank you enough. Will there be more customizable parameters in the future for example arched doors and windows or a report feature for components and materials? Great job Iscarnet.

Best regards

Iscarnet's picture

Hi Yax,

Thanks for your support. The functionality will grow for sure in the next few months. We will be listening to users requests like yours. Although we can't promise any specific feature right now.

plan9films's picture

Crazy! Wow! Old AutoCAD users will love this plugin!

Iscarnet's picture

Hi, that's great to hear. Thanks!

Excellent plugin, is there a user manual? I am having trouble with the start point of the wall, it seems to switch at random. I can draw one time using the corner and the next time it switches to the midpoint.

Iscarnet's picture

Hi Charles. Thanks for your comment. We are working on the documentation right now, should be ready next week.

About the 'Wall' tool, you can change the start point by pressing the 'Tab' key. Is that what you meant?
It shouldn't switch at random though...

Hola Nicolás. Muchas gracias por tu comentario. Eso creemos nosotros también :)

Serafim A's picture

Installed the plugin via Window->Preferences->Extensions to SU 8 Pro under Win 7 - 64 and got following error message: no such file to load -- iscarnet_dibac/dibac_cmdError Loading File iscarnet_dibac.rb
no such file to load -- iscarnet_dibac/dibac_cmd.

Any advice on that?

Have the same error message. Any solutions?

Serafim A's picture

Installed ver. 1.0.7 from this site and still get the same error message :(

Daniel Ivkovic's picture

it's work fine for me, but something strange with erase tool.
It's erase everything in beckground and foreground. When I delete a
plugin then everything is perfect.

Any suggestion?
