Cross Reference Organizer
Allows teams to work on the same project simultaneously by cross referencing eachothers' work.
Cross Reference Organizer

Cross Reference Organizer is designed to bring SU closer to being a design environment in which team members can collaborate simultaneously.

The plugin facilitates team members breaking a project into parts and cross referencing each others' models in their own workspace.

It has a clean and simple graphical UI that allows you to easily understand what in your model is cross referenced and how up to date it is.

It solves a key problem we found when using the File/Import/Reload process native to SU, namely the superimposition of multiple copies of content when many people in a team Import eachothers' work. It also addresses a problem we found using Trimble connect in our workflow - including the need to publish over a slow connection, and not having a visually orientating understanding of one's cross references.

Our other plugin, Layers Organizer, has features that integrate with Cross Reference Manager to make the Layers imported with Cross References more manageable.

The impetus for commissioning it for our own use came from a desire in our mid-sized Architecture office to avoid the large up-front and productivity-ramp expense of moving to R*vt or Ar*cad, further equipping SU /LO to be an end to end solution for teams.

Such a nice post, keep up the fantastic work

This plugin looks really useful for a designer as it allows to manage all the copies and backups and keep them in order in the same place. I wish I knew about it back when wrote reviews for EssayCompany and, would make my life much easier!

Awesome plugin.
Totally a 'must have' while operating with large, complex projects splitted into parts just for usability or teamwork.

BUT it has 1 enormous disadvantage - updating referenced models completely destroys all & any job done in Layers Organizer.
So, if project has 40+ layers overall (btw, mine has ~70 layers/part with 5 parts all in all), all bonuses from Cross Reference & Layers Organizers can burn in hellfire.
Thus, unfortunatelly, it's not worth a coin while this problem persists. :_(

On the other hand, these two plugins might become Ultimate Problem Solvertron for anyone working massive stuff in Sketchup.
Please, improve it, so that people like me could happily bring you our money.

On the basis of your comments, I commissioned a Russian speaker to test in a Russian instance of Windows and Sketchup.
No problems were found resembling the issue you experienced.
Once again, I invite you to contact me - I would very much like to assist.

BTW, soon we will be releasing an update that allows grouping in Layers Organizer to be optional, and to be able to bulk edit and rename layers and layer pre-fixes and suffixes.

Firstly, please accept my apologies for not knowing how to address you - your name is in Cyrillic, naturally, but I am not familiar.

I am not familiar with any conflict between our two plugins - we tested them together.
I would like to better understand the issue you are experiencing.
By 'destroys job done in Layers Organizer', do you mean that the groups in the destination file (the one receiving the Cross Reference) are flattened? This should not happen - normal behaviour is that any layer names coming from the source that already exist in a group in the destination are untouched. Any layers that don't yet exist in the destination are grouped in the XRC group for the particular Cross Reference.
Is this not what you are experiencing?
What do you mean by all 'bonuses from Cross Reference and Layers Organizer'? Do you mean the automatic grouping of layers from the Cross Reference?
Perhaps you could assist by replying privately so we can take some details from you -could you please assist by contacting me through
I would very much like to address what you are experiencing.
